Dagstuhl, Here We Come!
I’m incredibly happy to share that our proposal for a Dagstuhl Seminar has been accepted. For the official press release please see here.
Over the next 1-1.5 years, together with my amazing team in MBG, we’ll be preparing what we hope will become a truly special event. Our goal is to bring together outstanding researchers, journalists, policymakers, and industry experts from around the world to discuss one of the biggest challenges in computational media bias research: building a shared understanding of what media bias actually is and how we should study it.
For me, the most exciting part isn’t just the seminar itself. It’s the opportunity to spend an entire week exchanging ideas with brilliant people, starting new collaborations, challenging assumptions, and hopefully shaping the future of this research area together. No doubt a big step in the development in MBG.
We’re already working on the seminar website, visual identity, and many ideas to make the experience memorable, not just scientifically, but also as a place and special event where a new research community can grow.
A huge thank you to my team at MBG and my co-organizers Gunda Ehmke, Gianluca Demartini, Isao Echizen, and Karsten Donnay. I can’t wait to build something special together.
